The Volvo Ocean Race started in 1973 and was known as the Whitbread Round the World Race until 2001.
Stage 3: School Tours - Galway Stopover
‘School Days’ will take place at the Galway Stopover from May 25th - 29th and June 2nd -4th in 2009. Schools will be invited to ‘take a tour’ to Galway to capture the Ocean Race action, meet the teams and take part in some demonstrations and competitions at Galway Harbour.
